iPT app for iPhone and iPad

iPT is designed to provide physical therapists with a portable, electronic form of functional tests. This app is designed to make the functional tests: Berg Balance Scale, Tinetti Assessment Tool, Timed-Up-And-Go Test, and 10-Meter Walk Test, more available and easier for physical therapists to use. iPT can hold patient information, store the last 4 test results, and graphically illustrate the progress of patients. The last four results can also be shared either by a print out or email. This iPhone/iPad application can be used in any therapy setting but especially in the home health setting where there is usually no access to a computer. Moreover, this app can potentially increase the clinicians productivity and thereby increasing the facilitys revenue.

Directions to run the app: once you launch the app, please select a user name (you will be asked to re-enter), a password (you will be asked to re-enter), and a hint (you will be asked to re-enter)to help you remember your password. Once you have done this you will be taken to an empty table view, click on the "Add" button in the upper right corner. Please enter a user name and a birthday. Then hit "Save." If the birthdate is not entered in the proper format (MMDDYYYY), you will be instructed on how to do so with an alert view. Once you have saved a person, you will be taken back to the UITableView. You should see the persons name there. You can create as many people as you like following the same instructions. Once you have at least one person set up, click on their name. An UIActionSheet will pop up asking you which test you would like to administer. There are four tests. You may select any of the above. Next you need to simply follow the directions of each test. After you have finished a test, you may view the results by first clicking on the "More" tab bar button and then clicking on the respective "Results" table view cells. You may also access "directions" for the test, materials required for the test and information (such as scholarly works related to the test) through the tab bar buttons across the bottom.
